TP-LINK, a player of networking products, launched their TL-WR841HP High Power 300Mbps router in India few days back. Today, I shall tell you how’s it.

What’s in the box:
Inside the box, user can find TP-Link router with two 5dBi antennas, Quick Installation Guide, Power Adapter, Ethernet Cable and Resource CD.
Design:
Design of TL-WR841HP router is nice. There is two 5dBi antennas for high transmission power. All the notification lights are on the top of the router. Power and Internet area are back side of the router. We can also find WPS/Reset button at back side.
Working Overview:
The device comes with a CD with an Easy Setup Assistant that leads users through the setup process step-by-step, and also helps with wireless network settings and security configurations, so new users can also set up their networks very easily.
High power amplifier and two detachable external 5dBi high gain antennas provide superior wireless range. With the TL-WR841HP, user can enjoy wireless network not only in restricted indoor areas but also in their backyard or some areas of outside. With Wireless N technology, TL-WR841HP provides higher speed and good coverage than traditional 11G products. Speed up to 300Mbps makes it good for video streaming, online gaming and Internet calls.
The TL-WR841HP features Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) that allows users to instantly set up their security by pressing the ‘WPS’ button on their router, automatically establishing a WPA2 secure connection, which provides improved security compared with WEP encryptions.
This router comes with some Access Controls like, Parental Control, Local Management Control, Host List, Access Schedule and Rule Management. There are also some Firewall Securities with this router like, DoS, SPI Firewall, IP Address Filter/MAC Address Filter/Domain Filter, IP and MAC Address Binding.
System requirements for this router are Microsoft Windows 98SE, NT, 2000, XP, Vista or Windows 7, MAC OS, NetWare, UNIX or Linux. WAN types in this router are Dynamic IP/Static IP/PPPoE/PPTP/L2TP/BigPond.
Verdict:
We have reviewed this router approx one month and everytime it provide us very good signal without any interruption. Our every devices were run very smoothly. User can also connect four desktops by LAN wire. TP-Link’s TL-WR841HP router comes with wireless standards like, IEEE 802.11n, IEEE 802.11g and IEEE 802.11b. Which makes this router more trustworthy. In our review time, we found its Wi-Fi signal cuts through walls and obstacles, eliminating dead zones and provides good speed for video streaming, online gaming and VoIP. We also like its easy setup assistant for hassle-free installation.
